About Paula

Hi there! I’m a licensed clinical psychologist based in Austin, Texas. I specialize in psychological assessment and therapy for those who are navigating neurodivergence (like ADHD and Autism), the mental health and cognitive impacts of Long COVID, and emotional or behavioral concerns.

I work with individuals of all ages, but my foundation is in child and adolescent psychology—which means I bring extra patience, creativity, and care to complex situations. Whether I’m working with an adult who is struggling to function with Long COVID, a college student who’s wondering if ADHD has been missed for years, or a teen who needs someone to understand them, I focus on clarity, compassion, and real next steps.

My approach is grounded in evidence-based tools like CBT and DBT, but no session is ever one-size-fits-all. I believe therapy and assessment should reflect who you are—your strengths, values, culture, humor, and pace. I bring warmth, curiosity, and just enough structure to help you feel both supported and seen.

I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The University of Southern Mississippi, with nearly 10 years of training across community clinics, foster care, legal systems, inpatient hospitals, residential treatment centers, and schools. I later completed both my internship and post-doctoral training right here in Austin, at the Travis County Juvenile Probation Department. My experiences have only deepened my passion for accessible care and helped me connect to resources in our city.

Today, I primarily offer psychological assessments to help individuals and families gain clarity and direction. A great assessment can clarify diagnoses, enhance therapy, inform accommodations, and open doors to helpful services. I also offer a limited number of therapy spots for individuals looking for more long-term support.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me on a hiking trail, cooking something savory, exploring new music, leveling up in a video game, or immersing myself in a nonfiction book.
